Set rules for screen time

Rules guarantee clarity, which gives peace of mind. If your child knows what to expect, they will be less whiny.

Did you know

that as a parent, you can set rules on what your child can watch and when?

Let your child choose from some videos or programmes you’ve picked for them, for example from a small pile of DVDs or from a playlist on YouTube that your child can scroll through. The app YouTube Kids can help.

Tip:

As much as possible, agree on set times when your child can watch TV or use the tablet.

Don’t allow your child to get too used to screens. Explain to them that they can’t use them all the time, but only at set times, for example after lunch and before dinner.
