Tip 11: Try to get something positive out of struggles

When faced with things that are seemingly not going so well, try to get something positive out of them anyway. Needless to say, that is not always possible, because many things are only negative. By focusing on the things that are going well, you will concentrate more on the positive and you will feel happier.

“Yesterday I was at the supermarket with Daan. He had a tantrum. Everyone at the supermarket was looking at us. I was so embarrassed. The positive thing is that I didn’t give in. I didn’t give Daan what he wanted. So all in all, I did well.”
