Tip 1: Set bed time and wake-up time

A set bed time and wake-up time will help your child sleep better. From the age of 6 months, your child may start to develop a fixed sleep routine.

How do you get your child into a routine?

  • Take your child to bed at the same time every day.
  • Tell your child it is almost time to go to sleep well in advance.
  • Clearly explain to your child you are taking them to bed. Don’t start arguing about it and simply head to the bedroom. This will teach your child that bed time is not a choice.

Did you know

that from the age of 6 months, your child understands a lot of the things you tell them?
