Tip 6: No screen time within an hour before bed time

Your child will struggle to sleep if they have screen time within an hour before bed time. The bright light of the TV, tablet or smartphone can disrupt their sleep. You can use a light filter to reduce this effect. However, screen time still stimulates your child’s senses a lot. It takes a while for your child to process all those stimuli, which makes it difficult for them to easily fall asleep.

Read a book together or let your child draw up to an hour before bed time.
